Recorded in late April 2017 - I think there was an event at the UCLA Music Library, but I don't remember the specifics! I was definitely working there at the time. Just found this recording.

I made it using a technique I remember loving on the TC Electronic pedal "Flashback X4" - the pedal seems to now have a mark 2 version, and I'm not sure it would work on that one. The way I used it takes advantage of the delay/looper switch - I would play a sound (with some timbral influence from an octaver) and make a cool delay with it, then mess around with the time knob and record that to the looper. Then I'd take out the delay and replace it with a new one. Replace the loop, replace the delay, replace the loop... Over and over again, always responding to what I left... I guess it's dialectical!
